Hatching a Plan

In connection with our GED class, we're attempting to hatch eggs!!!

With a donation of eight goose eggs, and homemade incubators, we're tracking the temperature and humidity along with egg development of these (hopefully fertile) eggs.

“Are we there yet?”

Goose eggs can take around 30-32 days to hatch out. We'll be candling the eggs to watch for signs of embryo development within these amazing containers.

Mixed Breed Geese

The donating parent geese are a mixture of three breeds; Sebastopol, Chinese, and Toulouse. We'd hoped to get Pilgrim geese eggs, but plans changed when the COVID-19 came along and locked people in place.

Follow along on our Facebook page as we post pictures of the candling and possible hatching of these babies!
