Reading Skills for GED Success
Students will build reading comprehension, vocabulary, critical thinking, and test-taking skills using materials drawn from:
• Civics and History
• Nonfiction Articles
• Essays and Informational Texts
The class also incorporates strategies for understanding and solving word problems, helping students strengthen the reading and comprehension skills needed for the math portion of the GED.

Why Reading?
Because strong reading skills are essential across all GED subject areas, this class provides a foundation that supports success throughout the exam. Our current instruction helps students strengthen comprehension, critical thinking, vocabulary, and test-taking confidence while incorporating subjects found throughout the GED.
